Yes, our Rare Earth Pore Tightener has been tested on and is safe for use on sensitive skin. If you have a drier skin type, we recommend using our Rare Earth Pore Tightener only on the areas where you experience excess oil and visible pores, such as on the “butterfly zone,” which includes the middle of the forehead, nose, the inner cheeks, and next to the nose.
How can the Rare Earth Pore Tightener be layered with UV protection?
At Kiehl's, UV is a crucial part of any recommended daytime skincare routine. Our Rare Earth Pore Tightener is compatible and layers well with UV formulas. We recommend layering your moisturizer first, followed by UV protection, then applying our Rare Earth Pore Tightener before any makeup.
Can the Rare Earth Pore Tightener be used under and over makeup?
Our formula is an ideal base under makeup, as it creates a smooth skin surface and smoothing effect over visible pores. It provides continual protection against daily pollutants and pore-clogging particles throughout the day. However, it is not advised to be used over makeup.
