MY KIEHL’S REWARDS MEMBER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Introduction
1. The My Kiehl’s Rewards program is offered by L’Oréal Australia Pty Ltd (L’Oréal, we or us).
2. These terms and conditions apply to the My Kiehl’s Rewards program and any promotional activity and member transactions relating to the My Kiehl’s Rewards program. By registering for and participating in My Kiehl’s Rewards, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Your participation and membership
3. You can sign up to My Kiehl’s Rewards online at kiehls.com.au, in store at a Kiehl’s Boutique in Australia (excludes Mecca), or via other methods which may be specified by L’Oréal from time to time.
4. To become a member of My Kiehl’s Rewards, you will need to provide your full name, mobile number, date of birth and email address.
5. You must notify us if your email address and/or mobile number changes. L’Oréal is not responsible for any loss of My Kiehl’s Rewards benefits arising from you not notifying us of any change in your contact details.
6. You must only have one My Kiehl’s Rewards account at any time.
7. L’Oréal staff are not eligible to join My Kiehl’s Rewards.
8. My Kiehl’s Rewards tier spend, points balance and rewards are not transferrable and cannot be shared with anyone else.
9. If you are under the age of 18, you need the consent of your parent or legal guardian to join.
Member communications and personal data
10. When you join My Kiehl’s Rewards, you agree to receive email communications from L’Oréal for the purposes of:
- providing you with marketing, product and special offer information; and
- notifying you of matters relevant to your My Kiehl’s Rewards membership, including points and rewards expiry.
11. By joining My Kiehl’s Rewards you agree to let us collect, use and disclose your data (including personal information) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and these terms and conditions.
Earning My Kiehl’s Rewards points
12. You can earn My Kiehl’s Rewards points by making a purchase:
- online at kiehls.com.au while logged in to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account; or
- at a Kiehl’s Boutique in Australia (excludes Mecca) and identifying yourself as a Kiehl’s Rewards member to a dedicated Kiehl’s Customer Service Representative at the time of purchase.
13. You can earn My Kiehl’s Rewards points through non-purchase actions such as:
- recycling eligible empty full-sized Kiehl’s product packaging (i.e. the product container) at a Kiehl’s Boutique in Australia (excludes Mecca);
- completing an Instant Skin Reader consultation online at kiehls.com.au while logged into your My Kiehl’s Rewards account*; or
- completing a Derma-Reader consultation at a Kiehl’s Boutique in Australia (excludes Mecca)*.
*Participants will only be awarded points once in a 30-day period for any consultation undertaken. Any further consultation(s) completed within 30 days will not be valid and no points will be awarded. For example, if you undergo an Instant Skin Reader consultation on the 1st of January 2025 and undergo a Derma-Reader consultation on the 15th of January 2025 then you will only earn fifty (50) points.
There is a limit of four (4) consultations (Instant Skin Reader consultations and/or Derma-Reader consultations) per person per twelve (12) months. The ‘30-day’ and ‘12-month’ periods for consultations will start on the date of your first consultation.
The number of points available for the above actions are set out below and will be subject to change from time to time.
- Recycling eligible empty full-sized Kiehl’s product packaging – 40 points per full-sized product; and
- Instant Skin Reader consultations and/or Derma-Reader consultations within a 12-month period, subject to 1 consultation per 30-day limitation outlined above:
- Consultation 1 = 50 points
- Consultation 2 = 75 points
- Consultation 3 = 100 points
- Consultation 4 = 150 points
Once your 12-month consultation period is rolled out, the point allocation will reset back to Consultation 1 (for your next consultation(s) the following 12-month period).
14. If you make a purchase in accordance with clause 12 above, for each dollar you spend (excluding shipping costs) you’ll earn at least one My Kiehl’s Rewards point (rounded down to the nearest dollar). This is calculated on your tier level, as well as actual spend after any discounts, gift vouchers or Kiehl’s Rewards vouchers. For example, in the case of Extra and Super members:
- If you purchase a product which is $100 and receive a 15% discount on the purchase (total spend $85), you will receive 85 My Kiehl’s Rewards points.
- If you purchase a product which is $150 and use a $50 gift voucher on the purchase (total spend $100), you will receive 100 My Kiehl’s Rewards points.
- If you purchase a product which is $100 and use a $10 Kiehl’s Rewards voucher on the purchase (total spend $90), you will receive 90 My Kiehl’s Rewards points.
15. The tier you’re in will decide how many points you earn for each dollar you spend (in accordance with the above examples). The calculations are as follows:
- Extra and Super members: $1 = 1 point.
- Everest members: $1 = 1.2 points.
- Summit members: $1 = 1.5 points.
16. For online purchases, points will be credited to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account once your order ships. For online activities, points will be credited to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account upon completion of the activity. For in-store purchases and activities, points may take up to 24 hours to be credited to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account.
17. At its sole discretion, L’Oréal may update a member account with additional My Kiehl’s Rewards points because of a purchasing behaviour, incentive and/or promotional activities.
18. We may deduct from your My Kiehl’s Rewards account any My Kiehl’s Rewards points:
- credited to your account as a result of an error;
- relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;
- relating to any suspected fraudulent activity; or
- relating to an order that L’Oréal reasonably believes was for a commercial purpose or commercial in quantity.
19. Your My Kiehl’s Rewards point balance and any vouchers you redeem through My Kiehl’s Rewards are not transferable to anyone else, or redeemable for cash.
Using My Kiehl’s Rewards points
20. Points can be redeemed for a My Kiehl’s Rewards dollar voucher redeemable online at kiehls.com.au and in-store at Kiehl’s Boutiques in Australia, as set out in the table below. Only one My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher can be used per transaction.

21. When you convert your My Kiehl’s Rewards points into a My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher, you will have 30 days from the date of conversion to use your My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher. We will notify you using the email address linked to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account approximately 7 days before any of your active vouchers are due to expire, if you have not opted out of receiving loyalty communications. If you return or cancel an order in which you redeemed a My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher, the voucher will be reissued to your account with its original expiry date.
22. Each My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher can only be used once and L’Oréal will not be held liable if a My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher is not redeemed for any reason (unless due to our fault or error). When using a My Kiehl’s Rewards voucher, you must spend at least $1. My Kiehl’s Rewards vouchers are not valid for use towards the purchase of gift cards. L’Oréal reserves the right to exclude certain items and promotions from being redeemed by using My Kiehl’s Rewards vouchers.
23. My Kiehl’s Rewards members who are in Super, Everest, or Summit tier will also be able to redeem their points within our Rewards Vault, available at kiehls.com.au. The Rewards Vault contains an everchanging catalogue of full-size products, deluxe samples and merchandise. The higher your tier, the more items you are eligible to unlock and redeem with rewards points in the Rewards Vault. The Rewards Vault is not available for those in the ‘Extra’ tier.
24. Points will expire 12 months after they are earned. This means that if you make multiple purchases in one year, you will have points expiring on multiple dates the following year. For example (based on Extra and Super members rewards points allocation):
- If you spend $50 on 1 February, you will earn 50 points. These points will expire at the end of 31 January the following year.
- If you spend $100 on 1 June, you will earn 100 points. These points will expire at the end of 31 May the following year.
25. We will notify you using the email address linked to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account approximately one month before any of your points are due to expire, if you have not opted out of receiving loyalty communications.
My Kiehl’s Rewards membership tiers
26. You can accumulate My Kiehl’s Rewards tier spend by making a purchase:
- online at kiehls.com.au while logged in to your Kiehl’s Rewards account (excluding shipping costs); or
- at a Kiehl’s Boutique in Australia and identifying yourself as a Kiehl’s Rewards member to a dedicated Kiehl’s Customer Service Representative at the time of purchase.
27. For online purchases, tier spend will be credited to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account once your order ships. For in-store purchases, tier spend may take up to 24 hours to be credited to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account.
28. As a My Kiehl’s Rewards member, you will be allocated to a membership tier on the basis of your spend with Kiehl’s in a membership year.
29. The current spending thresholds for each membership tier are:
- For Extra membership: spend $0-$249.99 per membership year.
- For Super membership: spend $250.00-$599.99 per membership year.
- For Everest membership: spend $600.00-$999.99 per membership year.
- For Summit membership: spend $1000+ per membership year.
30. Your My Kiehl’s Rewards membership year starts from (i) the date you joined My Kiehl’s Rewards or (ii) the date you last changed or maintained tiers (whichever date is later) and runs for 12 months.
31. At the end of each membership year, your membership tier will be determined by your spend with Kiehl’s in that membership year and your spend balance will be reset to $0. You will then remain in that membership tier until the end of your next membership year, unless your rolling 12 month spend qualifies you to move to a higher tier, in which case you will move to the next membership tier.
32. At its sole discretion, L’Oréal may upgrade a member’s membership tier as a result of purchasing behaviour, incentive and/or promotional activities.
33. We may deduct from your My Kiehl’s Rewards spend balance any amounts:
- credited to your account as a result of an error;
- relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;
- relating to any suspected fraudulent activity; or
- relating to an order that L’Oréal reasonably believes was for a commercial purpose or commercial in quantity.
34. The benefits that members of each tier are eligible to receive are set out in the table below. These benefits may change, but if we reduce the benefits that apply to the tier you are in, we will let you know by sending an email to the email address linked to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account, if you have not opted out of loyalty communications.

35. Members will be able to access their Kiehl’s voucher catalogue and Rewards Vault at any time by logging into their My Kiehl’s Rewards online account. All other tier rewards will be available at set periods of time throughout the year. We will notify when these rewards are available to you if you have not opted out of loyalty communications, including further information on additional terms and conditions that may apply to rewards and how to redeem.
Kiehl’s Birthday Rewards
36. Members who are eligible for an Extra, Super, Everest, or Summit Birthday Reward will receive their Birthday Reward notification via email (if they have not opted out of loyalty communications) approximately 7 days prior to their birthday, or at such other time as L’Oréal considers appropriate. Birthday Rewards may change from time to time at L’Oréal’s discretion.
37. Your Birthday Reward is redeemable online at kiehls.com.au and in-store at Kiehl’s Boutiques in Australia and must be used within 30 days of the date of issuance. You must be logged in to your My Kiehl’s Rewards account online or present your associated email address in-store to redeem your Birthday Reward. Rewards that are not redeemed within 30 days of issuance will be rendered null and void.
38. Your Kiehl’s Birthday Reward is redeemable online only and must be used within 30 days of the date of issuance. You must be logged in to your Kiehl’s Rewards account to redeem your Birthday Reward. Rewards that are not redeemed within 30 days of issuance will be rendered null and void.
General
39. Your My Kiehl’s Rewards membership may be terminated or suspended if we reasonably suspect that you have:
- breached these terms and conditions;
- engaged in or may engage in fraudulent conduct, or conduct that is reasonably suspected to be fraudulent, in relation to your Kiehl’s Rewards account; or
- engaged in inappropriate conduct that undermines the legitimate interests of L'Oréal.
40. You may terminate your My Kiehl’s Rewards membership at any time by contacting Kiehl’s customer service.
41. If your My Kiehl’s Rewards membership is terminated (by you or us), all outstanding points and any Kiehl’s Rewards vouchers you have redeemed will no longer be valid and will be rendered null and void.
42. We may cancel or suspend the My Kiehl’s Rewards program or change these terms and conditions at any time. If we do, we may or may not notify you, depending on the change we make. An up-to-date copy of our terms can be found here: Terms & Conditions
43. Where L'Oréal gives you notice by email, you agree that the notice is deemed to have been provided to you on the date of the email.
44. These terms and conditions do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under law.
45. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
